About Us
Rise Up for Peace is a non-profit organization founded by Ms. Patricia Brown, a Tampa native whose son was murdered in a senseless drive-by shooting shortly after coming home from work. The culprit who murdered her son has not been brought to justice. Her fight is against gun violence and to gain justice along with other families who have endured similar tragedies.

Our Why
The purpose of our walks are to show support to the families who have lost loved ones to senseless gun violence, as well as to bring awareness and resources needed to uplift communities most impacted. The hope is to prevent further gun violence by appealing to the hearts and minds of those who can make a profound difference.
